Back to School Layout Time

Well I am sure many of you are begining to work on your back to school layouts.  My little guy isn't ready for actual school yet but does go to an early education center while I am at work and so I do still have "school" layouts to scrap.  I was so excited to get to play with Simple Girl Scraps' latest mini kit, Schooled!  It is perfect for all of your school layouts!!  I love the fresh colors and fun elements!  Check It Out!

A New Week and A New Freebie

That's right, I have another freebie for you today.  In light of everyone getting their kids ready to go back to school  I wanted to create a template that would be suiting for all of your back to school photos.  So this template is perfect for highlighting a larger photo.  I hope that you enjoy.  As always I would love to hear your feedback and if you do create a layout with my template please feel free to share so I can see your work of art!

Some New Templates To Check Out

Being a template junkie when I had the opportunity to check out Alegna Designs' latest template pack I jumped right on it.  I have to admit she is one of my favorite template designers as her templates practically scrap themselves!  Her latest pack, Summer Evenings,  was so much fun to use as it utilizes a lot of white space which you can of course leave as white space or get creative with and through in a large photo or maybe some funky patterned papers!  Check it Out!

Wordart Wednesdays Are Back

Its Wednesday and I have a fun new wordart for you!  Yep thats right I have another freebie for you today!   What a week!  So I wantted to play around some with creating a new wordart and since it is August I figured there are a lot of you out there that are getting the kids ready to go back to school.  The wordart is saved as a PSD template file as well as a PNG so you are free to play with the layers and make it your own!  Enjoy!

My First Template Freebie

OK, so I finished my freebie and couldn't wait until tomorrow to share...

So as most of you probably know I am a template junkie.  I begin most of my layouts with a template.  The past couple of weeks I have been trying to create a few more layouts from scratch.  That gave me an idea.  What about creating a couple of my own templates to use for my layouts.  So today I have my first template freebie to share with all of you.  I hope you enjoy.  Let me know what you think and who knows maybe I will have some more in the future.  I have also recently updated my Facebook Timeline Cover again so I will have another timeline template up soon too!

The August Mega Grab Bag

A Template Pack Worth Checking Out

Ok so anyone who knows me knows how much I love template packs!  Dana's Footprints Digital Design recently released a new set of templates that are such a blast to use that you simply have to check them out!  Circles 'N Blocks offers four different templates that each have their own unique flair.  Vicki has also been nice enough to include individual PNG and a Tiff File in addition to the PSD.  Check them Out!!

Another New Face Around SDD

This has been an exciting month for me as a CT member has I have gotten to discover several of our newer designers at SDD.  This month I have the pleasure of working with Dawn of Daybreak Scraps.  Her kits are super cute!  Today I would like to shaer with you What I Love About You.  What a fun kit!!  I just love the colors!!  Check it out!

Getting to Know A New Designer

So back in June we had the pleasure of having Simple Girl Scraps s a guest designer at SDD. Unfortunately I did not have an opportunity to work with her.  But I am so excited to share that she is now exclusively selling at SDD and I got an opportunity to work with one of her kits this month (hopefully I will have some more fun kits to share with you this month too).  I got to snag her kit, Wild Child, and boy was it fun to play with.  The colors and elements are so bright and playful and the wordarts are perfect!  Plus this month she is hosting the Bird Cage Challenge so you can pick up a mini kit add on for this kit absolutly free!  Check it Out!

I LOVE Grab Bags

I just love grab bags.  Even when they are revealed I always feel like a little kid as I unwrap (or unzipp) them and discover all of the goodies inside!  This week I got to to unwrap Partners in Crime's Personal Use Grab Bag 4!  This grab bag is packed full of some fun and exciting things.  First off there are three mini kits and each one is a must have in my book.  The first one I have played with is Backyard BBQ.  I will be using this kit again and again with all of my summer photos of my two guys grilling.  Check back soon as I share my layouts with the other great kits you can get in this grab bag!
