A New Designer & A New Freebie

Good Afternoon Everyone!  I hope that everyone has had a wonderful weekend.  I had the weekend off and enjoyed a trip to the zoo with the little man yesterday and then have spent the rest of the weekend catching up on things after a very busy week.  This month I have the pleasure of working with another one of our new designers at Scrappity-Doo-Dah, nandesign.  The first kit of his that I got to play with was Making Comics.  I must admit, it is a little different then the usual kits that I grab but was excited for the challenge.  Well I enjoyed the challenge far more then I could have expected.  His doodles are amazing and it makes the kit so much fun to play with.  I will be using this kit again for sure.  The first thing I made with this kit was a new Facebook Timeline Cover.  And guess what that means?  Yep, you guessed it, I have a new template for all of you.

Dana's Foot Prints & More

I had the pleasure of working with The Tooth Fairy Was Here by Dana's Footprint Digital Design before it released and I had so much fun that I know that it will end up being one that I come back to again and again for some layouts. So I encourage everyone to go check out The Tooth Fairy Was Here by Dana’s Footprint. This kit is not only perfect for when your little one looses their first tooth (or their second or third) but also good for any photos you have of your little one brushing their teeth, visiting the dentest, or even just a great grin. I loved that it was so versitle as my little one is still a little too young to have had his first visit from the tooth fairy but boy do I have a lot of photos of him brushing his teeth!





Thank you for those who commented or messaged about the Facebook Timeline Cover.  I had so much fun making it and also love having the fun new cover on my Facebook page that I am eager to make another.  So keep your eyes peeled for a new template coming soon!

Facebook Timeline

So my facebook page automatically updated to timeline.  Now that I have it I decided I wanted to do something a little more then just a photo for the Timeline Cover so I created something simple but that added a little more style.  It is basic but I really like how it turned out.

I have recently been playing around with making some templates from some of my favorite layouts so I decided to go ahead and make a template of this timeline cover. And I decided to go ahead and share it with all of you.  Enjoy!

Dream & Wish

April has already been a very exciting month at Scrappity-Doo-Dah.  There are so many fabulous games, sales, and challenges going on.  Plus over the last couple of weeks there have been a number of new designers joining the site as well as Three guest designers this month.  This month I have the pleasure of working with one of the new faces at Scrappity-Doo-Dah, Scrappamondo By Monica.  She just released a new kit today called Dream & Wish and I had the pleasure of getting to work with it.  She has so many adorable kits in her store that I cannot wait to play with another kit of hers!

 

April's Mega Grab Bag at Scrappity-Doo-Dah

One of the things I love to do everything month is to "open" up the months Mega Grab Bag.  It is almost like unwrapping a present.  Each month there is always such a different variety of goodies inside.  Well April was no different.  I was excited to find several amazing kits in this month's grab bag!  If you haven't checked it out yet you really should.  Six Fabulous Products and All For Only $2.99!!

Full Bloom

So who else is getting some great Spring photos?  We have had such warm weather here now for over a month that I have so many photos of Isaac at the park and outside.  I just love being able to scrap these outdoor photos with all of the sunlight in them.  Scrappity-Doo-Dah has some fabulous guest designers at the store this month.  One of them is Meta Wulandari Designs.  I had the great pleasure of working with her collab that she just released with Gabs-Art.  I have to say, it is a favorite!  I just adore the bright colors and the super fun elements!

And I had so much fun I created not just one but two layouts right away!

I had the pleasure of working with a designer that I hadn't worked with before and I must say, I so enjoyed playing with her kit!  Have you checked out Milly Dee's store at Scrappity-Doo-Dah?  If you haven't yet, you really should.  She has some wonderful kits and I especially love her latest kit, Colour Your Life.  This kit is perfect for your every day layouts!  And I love all of the colors and the element options!

Our Daily Lives

So this year I have decided to dedicate myself to makiing a family album.  The past two years I have successfully kept up with my albums for Isaac but haven't taken the time to do a family album.  With the new little one on the way and knowing that more of my daily photos will not necessarily be included in both of their albums I feel it is time to get back to doing family albums.  To keep it something manageable and something that I will keep up with I have decided to do a two page spread for each month and focus mostly on the photos and journaling.  So as I set down to do my January Layout I was so excited to work with MC Designs latest kit, Our Daily Lives.  The kit was perfect for those everyday photos!  I hope you will take a few moments to go check out her kit and that you enjoy the layouts that I prepared with it.
